The Art of Flow: Trusting Yourself & Making Bold Life Choices

Writer: High Value WomanHigh Value Woman

There comes a time in life when we feel an undeniable pull toward change. Sometimes we ignore it out of fear, uncertainty, or convenience. But when we truly listen to our intuition, the universe aligns everything perfectly. In this blog, I share my journey of stepping into the unknown, trusting my inner voice, and making a bold decision that changed everything.

Unplugging to Hear My Inner Voice

A couple of weeks ago, I embarked on a much-needed camping trip for my birthday. I completely unplugged—no phone, no distractions—just me, nature, and my thoughts. It was in this stillness that I realized I was delaying the inevitable: my move to Colorado.

For months, I had been debating whether or not to renew my lease in Arizona. I kept pushing the decision further down the road, telling myself, "Maybe next year." But the truth was, I was outgrowing my current environment. I no longer felt connected to my social circle, my surroundings, or my purpose there. It was time to move forward.

Overcoming Fear and Doubt

Making a major life change is never easy. The idea of moving states, securing a new place to live, and reestablishing my life felt overwhelming. I had fears about financial stability, finding housing as an entrepreneur, and leaving behind the familiar.

However, I also knew that fear often signals growth. If I waited for the "perfect" time, I’d be waiting forever. I had to take action despite the uncertainty.

Trusting the Process and Taking Inspired Action

On my drive to Colorado, I immersed myself in The Greatness Mindset by Lewis Howes. His words resonated deeply, reinforcing what I was already learning in my mastermind group: growth requires discomfort.

Instead of letting fear paralyze me, I decided to surrender and trust the universe. I sent out applications, visited properties, and stayed open to possibilities. Initially, I was approved for a beautiful duplex in Cortez. It was tempting to take the safe option, but my heart was in Durango. I hesitated but followed my intuition, continuing my search.

Days later, I got the call—I was approved for an apartment in Durango, the exact place I had envisioned myself living. It was confirmation that I had made the right decision.

Lessons in Manifestation

This experience reinforced several key lessons:

  1. Listen to Your Intuition – Your gut knows the answer before your mind does.

  2. Fear Is a Sign of Growth – If it scares you, it's probably worth pursuing.

  3. Manifestation Requires Action – Visualization is powerful, but taking steps toward your goal is crucial.

  4. The Universe Meets You Halfway – When you align with your desires, the right opportunities present themselves.

Final Thoughts

I didn’t just move to Colorado—I reclaimed my power. I stopped letting fear dictate my choices and started living with intention. This move is more than just a change of scenery; it's a full-circle moment of empowerment. Years ago, I fled Colorado in fear, escaping an abusive ex-husband who stalked me. I left with a sense of survival, unsure if I would ever feel safe again. Now, I return not as a victim, but as a person standing fully in my power. I refuse to let past trauma dictate where I live or how I live my life.

Moving back to Colorado is my statement to the universe—and to myself—that I control my own destiny. I am no longer running. I am reclaiming what was once taken from me, standing in strength, and creating a new chapter filled with confidence, peace, and purpose.

If there’s something in your life that you’ve been putting off because it feels too big, too scary, or too uncertain—take the first step today. The universe is waiting to support you.

Are you ready to step into the life you truly desire? What big move are you manifesting?
